Talysh language
 
Spoken in Azerbaijan and Iran, and being a minority language in both countries is a bit endangered by major tongues. Phonetics consists of 7 vowels, 24 consonants, it was influenced by Turkish languages and did not preserve much Indo-European. Palatal and velar (soft and firm) consonants are opposed to each other (k' - k, g' - g).

Morphology: nouns have two cases; verbs use the same stem for present and past tenses, and have quite a large number of forms - 8 aspects and tenses, four moods and 2 voices. The syntax is distinguished by some ergative constructions with transitive verbs in past sentences. The lexical composition is effected greatly by Azerbaijan words, as well as the writing which uses the Cyrillic alphabet of Azerbaijani language.
